Used to live in the Champion District over on the east side for a little while, but I bounced around apartments a lot. See that big red gate over to the south? That marks the start of Tenkaichi Street, where we're walkin' now. It's like a welcome to the district.

[ This might be Japan of the distant past, but it didn't skimp out on the glitz. Interestingly, there were men among the rest that seemed a little... apart, maybe? Not too many of them at the same time, but present, dressed in suits that were a little flashier, each bearing a black-and-gold lapel pin of various insignias. Some were younger men, others older and bearing a nasty scar or two.

And there was something about the older men's mannerisms that was strangely similar to Majima's. The way they stood, maybe. A sense of roughness existing just below the surface, violence ready to emerge in an instant if needed.

People gave them an unspoken wide berth. ]

Oh yeah. You can tell a lot about people by the way they dress. See those guys with flash suits? Plain hair, they're usually loan sharks or yakuza. But if they've got a fancy haircut and a dye job, and they smile all the time? Probably a host.
