Good acting could fake a lot of things, but you couldn't fake turning into a clumsy disaster due to overwhelming happiness. And, sure, this was technically a wedding band, not an engagement ring, but that was fine-- Tim was going to be wearing it for the rest of his life, so what did it matter if he started a few weeks early?]
