[Majima made a few good points about the general appeal of his dystopian hellscape of a novel, which was... kind of heartening. It was nice to think that people would want to read it, even if it was depressing and had a bit of a downer ending.]

Any of the loaders that started showing, like, a personality or too much intelligence would get scrapped. The idea that the loaders could become sentient freaked Jack out a lot.
