[A bait-and-switch. Killing someone was a terrible thing-- god, did Tim know that-- but it could be almost justifiable if the person that you were killing was awful enough. Getting rid of some piece of shit pimp who hurt women could have almost been considered an improvement to society, even if it was a case of nice motive, still murder. But some civilian girl who just wanted to live her life? It was a hell of a moral choice-- what was more important, everything you'd worked so hard to get in life, or the life of somebody you didn't know? Somebody who'd never done anything to anyone?]
[It said a lot about Majima that he saved her instead of going through with it. And the way he talked about her, too-- the way his voice went gentle and everything about him softened.
